Let me begin...

"As far as I can remember from when I was a teenager I always use to be a tall and very skinny guy.
When you take into account that I am 6'3 inches tall (that's 191 centimetres) and was weighing 11 and a half stones (that's 73kg) in my teens and early twenties you can imagine how skinny I was!
I’m talking no muscles what so ever, flat chest, bum so flat it would make a good ironing board, the skinniest of match stick legs and no biceps at all!
You know how cruel kids are in school so of course I had to deal with all the horrible name calling...oh how life has changed!
At the age of 20 I became intrigued with bodybuilding magazines and I use to always buy one called 'Muscle mag'. I was amazed at the bodies of these guys so I began to read, read and read as much as I could about training and nutrition.
At that time Great Britain's Olympic team had a world champion 100 meters sprinter named 'Linford Christie', now this guy’s physique was absolutely amazing, he was muscular and ripped to the bone!
Even though he was muscular his physique was athletic which was fantastic!
I admire huge bodybuilder's physiques like the former Mr Olympia Bodybuilding Champion Ronnie Coleman but looking that huge has never appealed to me. I take my hat off to Arnold Schwarzenegger though because when he was in his prime in my eyes his physique remains the best ever bodybuilding physique! I say this because although Arnold was huge he was tall, he had the tiniest of waists, long big legs and arms, big back, broad shoulders which gave him the classic V shaped physique and allowed him to some degree keep an appealing athletic look to his big muscular frame, he was the king!
Linford Christie was my idol and I wanted to look like him so I joined my first gym aged twenty armed with the knowledge that I had read in various magazines and I started to build my physique.
In that first year of training I could already notice the physical changes taking place with my body even though I was still very slim and that just made me become more and more addicted to training.
Two more years down the line and I was so into my training and the health and fitness lifestyle that I began to study to become a Fitness Instructor.
Fast forward 5 more years and I had managed to bring my skinny 73kg frame up to a healthy lean 89kg which for my height still wasn't muscular enough for me and I still was far off from what Linford Christie looked like but now the foundations to my physique was set and I just needed that extra bit of help and knowledge to get me to where I wanted to be.
At that point luck struck, I was working out in the gym and I got spotted by a 'Maximuscle' scout who complemented me on how lean I looked, he gave me a business card and said I should give him a call. (Maximuscle is a Sports Nutrition Company who are now known as Maxinutrition)
Soon I was at the Maximuscle headquarters talking to the managing director about me working for them as an Athlete to compete in Natural bodybuilding competitions and a Sports & Fitness Model, I couldn't believe it my training had paid off!
The first bodybuilding competition I entered was 'The All Counties Bodybuilding Championships 2000' in Gravesend in Kent.
I brought my family along and some friends from my local gym in Battersea London and I finished 2nd in the 'Beginners Class' but I won overall 'Best presentation' in the show!
As I got more into bodybuilding and noticed my physique was beginning to look more like Linford Christie I then took my inspiration from Arnold Schwarzenegger.
I would watch videos of Arnold in his competing days and read books about his training, I compared myself to Arnold because we both are tall and have the same type of long muscles although his muscles were much bigger then mine! And like me Arnold also competed in Powerlifting competitions as well as Bodybuilding competitions.
I then went on to compete in bodybuilding for 3 years qualifying two years in a row for the ANB British finals and finishing 1st in the 'West of England bodybuilding Championships'.
I also gained membership to B.A.W.L.A. (British Amateur Weightlifters Association) to start competing in 'Powerlifting'.
Information about B.A.W.L.A. can be found here https://www.britishpowerlifting.org/aboutus
In 2001 I competed in my first powerlifting competition which ended in disaster as I walked through some chalk and ended up slipping on my last lift of the Deadlift which meant I finished 2nd. I came back the following year and competed against the B.A.W.L.A at Brixton Recreation centre in South West London and I won! I lifted 170kg Bench Press, 240kg Squat and finished by lifting 267.5kg Deadlift to win me the competition!
The knowledge about training and supplements and the help that Maximuscle gave me proved priceless and it helped me to pass my studies to become a Personal Trainer.
My contract with Maximuscle lasted 5 years and ended in 2005.
I continued to train as an athlete and successfully continued working as a Personal Trainer and Sports & Fitness Model and it wasn't until 3 years later in 2008 that I done a photo shoot for 'Sci-MX' Sports Nutrition Company (www.sci-mx.co.uk) when they offered me a contract to work for them.
Sci-MX has been absolutely awesome with me and once more I was able to learn some valuable knowledge from them with regard to training, nutrition and supplementation to help take my physique to that extra level.
Half way in the year of 2015 I was contacted by Sci-MX and offered the role as "Ambassador" which I was very honoured and proud to accept.
After some long thinking I decided that I needed a new challenge in my life so I moved to Milan Italy where I continue to work as a Personal Trainer.
My mission now is to help people become more fit and healthy, I hope I can inspire every one who I meet and people all over the world to be as healthy as they can be and help to reduce the obesity rate suffered in many countries by making people become more aware.
To this present day I continue to work for Sci-MX and long may it continue! "
