YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT! By eating well and training properly, you will live longer, you will become fitter, healthier and happier.
There is a saying "You are what you eat" and that saying is very true especially when applied to sports nutrition. I have heard many people complaining that they can't seem to lose body fat or they can't seem to grow any lean muscle and 9 out of 10 times the reason is always their nutrition.
The food that you eat is the key to the results that you are able to achieve. Not only is food the key to your results but even the times throughout the day can have an effect on your end results. Even if you have the best genetics in the world but eat too much food you will put on fat and if you don't eat enough food you won't gain weight. You could be the hardest trainer in your gym but if you start every day with a greasy fry up for breakfast and then have a doner kebab, chips and milkshake as your last evening meal you'll find it hard to gain quality lean muscle.
Try to think of health and fitness as a way of life and not only the one or so hours that you spend in the gym. I am not saying that your life now has to be boring, strict and regimented when it comes to food but what I am saying is to put more importance in your nutrition. Having a healthy balanced diet will work wonders and give you all the nutrients needed to get you through your training routine and allow you to achieve your physique and sports goals.
"The main reason I successfully manage to keep up my athlete duties and have continued to maintain my presence in sports modelling for over 15 years continuing to excel is down to my dedication and consistency to hard training but more importantly an excellent healthy balanced diet and sports nutrition".
